Today's way's to use it challenge was to create a masculine card. I always struggle with this. I love glitter and bling. So it was a great challenge for me.
I used a Sutter Stamp today. I have had this stamp forever. I chose this stamp today for a very good reason.
My dad has been a farmer for 52 years. He raised hundreds of heads of cattle. This year the EPA is shutting down his operation. He has a creek behind his property and the cattle have caused too much pollution. With a VERY heavy heart he will be selling them all this summer.
So I dedicate this card to him. He has had unconditional love for these animals his entire life. He has also had unconditional love for me. He is an awesome dad.
I hope using ribbon on a manly card is acceptable. I was inspired by red, white and black from a card I saw in Mothermark's gallery this morning. Go take a look.
Thanks for an awesome challenge.
Thanks also for looking,
Dawn

Dawn, what a sad story about your Dad, I'm so very sorry. This is a great masculine card, I love the red, black and white theme - and the image is perfect for your purpose. A real heartfelt card that your Dad will treasure. Fabulous job!

What a beautiful card ... and when I read your story about your dad it brought a tear to my eye. Back in 2000 we had a very widespread outbreak of foot and mouth disease in England. Many of our farmers had to slaughter their cattle and it was just heartbreaking for them. So sad. Please give your dad a hug from us!
The card is beautiful, and I love the red and white and the ribbon ... and, more importantly, so will he. Hugs.
